Big News!!!!!

It's official, my long-time, elementary/middle school friend, Salina, and I have purchased http://www.memorybookinspirations.com/! How exciting! I hope we can make its previous owners proud. Here's a little information about us, and the site:

Salina and I met in 1986 when I moved to Orangeburg, SC. We attended elementary and middle school together until I moved away in 1991. We were pretty much inseparable, except for those trying pre-teen times when she was my BFF, then she wasn't my BFF, then she WAS my BFF...you get the idea. We'd ride together to school in the mornings, we were in Girl Scouts together, she went to church with me sometimes, and when we weren't doing that, we were fishing for tadpoles at the lake in our neighborhood. We lost touch after she moved to Florida, and one day, out of the blue, I got a letter from her, outlining all the crazy stuff we did back in O'burg (including putting on roller skating shows for our parents). I called the number in her letter, and we stayed in touch for a few years, then after she got married, we lost touch again. A quick Classmates.com search in 2005 brought us back together again, and we've spoken pretty much every day since then!

Now for some history on Memory Book Inspirations. Trudi Aston created the site a couple years ago as a hobby site, catering mostly to friends and family. Word spread, and the site grew to over 150 members, Salina being one of the originals, and I joined a few months later. Tragically, Trudi passed away in the Spring of 2007 from an aggressive form of cancer. Her husband, Bruce, has been fighting Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for years, and keeping up with the site after Trudi's passing was very hard for him, both physically and emotionally. After months of discussions, Salina and I decided to purchase the site. What better way to celebrate friendship than to be partners in crime once again!

We hope you'll visit us at http://www.memorybookinspirations.com/. It's a great little community of scrapbookers, card-makers, and stampers. See you there!
